FAITH IS A FIGHT Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto ye are also called, and has professed a good profession before many witnesses.1 Timothy 6:12 Thought for today satan threatens a man to stop him from confessing Gods Word because the spoken Word is a threat to his kingdom. The Bible makes it clear that we are involved in a continuous warfare (Ephesians 6:12).It does not matter whether you are interested in it or not, there is a fight going on. The devil is permanently angry with you because you were made in the image of God. What then is the fight of faith? 1. It is the confrontation of conviction: Faith is fought when your conviction is fought. The conviction of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego was fought when they were thrown into the fire (Dan. 3:16-18).satan can bring your healing conviction that says, By His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:3) under trial by making you to be sick. 2. It is the confrontation of confession: The devil fights what comes out of your mouth because he knows that your confession is your possession. When you make confessions such as, I am the head and not the tail; I cannot be sick because he took my infirmities; I cannot be poor, he confronts these confessions by threats to stop you from confessing Gods Word because the spoken Word is a threat to his kingdom. 3. It is the confrontation of positive action. Satan fights your positive action so that you can change it. For example, he fights your action of tithe payment by raising secret questions in your heart; you have been paying tithe all this while, where is the profit? 4. It is the battle between the facts of life and the truth of the Word: The fact says, There is a symptom of sickness in your body, but the truth says, By His stripes you were healed. Therefore, there is a fight between the facts of life and the truth of the Word. But it is called a good fight because faith always wins, and your faith shall win, in Jesus Name. Remember this: satan threatens a man to stop him from confessing Gods Word because the spoken Word is a threat to his kingdom. Assignment 1. Itemise how the devil fights your conviction, confession and positive action. 2. Fight the devil by standing on the Word of God.
