FALSE VICTORS I know who you are I know what you are You are the darkness that feeds on human weakness that whispers and strengthens the frailties in men You are the one who brings forth the triumphalism of ignorance that suppresses clear view logic and understanding You evoke, enrich and lift up xenophobia and hatred and promote them as being the normal natural state of being You, I know you You danced with the shadows on the collapsing walls as the great library of Alexander burnt to be no more You smiled your lizard smile as the Christian church condemned and butchered men and women who only tried to bring knowledge to the world You were the one who laughed, clapped and saluted as the fires grew larger as more books were cast into flames as a means to reaffirm Nazi Germany’s Aryan purity You stood on the dam banks of skulls and posed for photos and add new faces to the pages of those who entered the high school transformed to conform to Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge’s Year Zero You grinned with bloodied anticipations as the bodies flowed passed as once relatives, friends and neighbours became victims or victimizers while the Kagera river turned redder and redder you, you are the one who gleefully videos and posts butchery, mutilations, beheadings and murders for your religion, for your cause to induce in the people around the world to surrender to fear You, I know you You hate all those that think for themselves and question you You hate those that will not bow down to your oppression and you would kill me and those just like me and if you get your way no will ever know these words are mine You are creature that hungers and claws at power and control while ethics and rights are tools you manipulate and exploit and secretly you totally reject with an arrogant contempt Yet once you tried to play at games and at sports where everyone abided by the rules and you lost; you always lost no matter how many people you bought off to make you look like a winner; you never were You, you are destroyer of hope, free will and choice You crush and bury those that are in every way better than you You are a control freak and promoter of denials, abuses and liars and you are here now pretending to be like the rest of us, but you’re not You are a monster that has no empathy and has no humanity And there is one thing throughout history I’ve always known about you you have been and always will be, a loser.
