FANTASY LAND: Fantasy gets a really bad rap. From fantasy...many realities are born. It has to start somewhere. We only call it a fantasy or delusion when we think its wildly unattainable or, in some way, secretly ridiculous. Somebody once thought flying was a crazy fantasy. That the world being round was absurd. That going to the moon was laughable. So...foster fantasy. Celebrate imagination. Dont poohpooh it or tsktsk it. Stay with it and see what its trying to tell you. Maybe its a dream come true from another time and place beckoning you inward or forward. Indulge it. Languish there boldly. Interview it. Befriend it. The wilder, the better. I had a fantasy that came true recently and it was completely bizarre and surreal. One week I was seeing Paul Rudd in a movie on my TV and casually wondering what itd be like to meet him and a month later, there he was, standing right in front of me as I was getting off an elevator, on an all-expenses-paid trip to Hollywood. (Another lifelong fantasy come true.) You just never, ever know. The more outrageous and random it seems? The more juice there is to it.~Courtney A. Walsh
