FARMLAND - Donald Robert Duncan, 66, of Farmland, IN passed away Tuesday evening, November 26, 2013 at Parker Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Parker City, IN. He was born April 7, 1947 in Muncie, IN, the son of Henry R. and Grady N. (Summey) Duncan. He was a 1965 graduate of Monroe Central High School. Don retired as a machine operator with Delco Battery of Muncie, IN, where he served as a Union Representative. He enjoyed his leisure time as a Little League Coach, having done so for 35 years in the Farmland and Parker City communities. He was the Varsity Baseball Coach for Monroe Central High School. He attended Farmland Friends Church. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Barbara E. (Dishner) Duncan; three daughters, Robin Gordon (husband, James) of Charlotte, NC, April Nott (husband, Melvin) of Farmland, IN and Amanda Duncan (Brad Craft) of New Castle, IN; a brother, Leroy Duncan of Farmland, IN; grandson, Devin Nott of Farmland, IN; and two step grandchildren, Olivia Gordon of Morristown, NJ and John Craft of New Castle, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Duncan and Gradie Duncan Weaver. A service to celebrate Dons life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery of Maxville, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Randolph County.
