FASHOLAS UNUSUAL GOVERNANCE... Im one of the few Nigerians who dont see any difference between the PDP and the APC beyond their names. I see them as the same of the same and a situation which I can aptly describe as Nigerians are torn between the devil and the other devil. When Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa-Ibom state expended billions on a stadium of no economic value, his flawed judgment and assessment was brought to fore. When the Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of Kaduna State embarked on distribution of wheel barrows as a youth empowerment policy, he was not spared the full length of our tongues. These examples will be incomplete and wont do justice to this post if Governor Ayodele Fayose appointment of an aide for/on Stomach Infrastructure is not included. Its no news that Wasiu Ayinde Marshal is a member of the APC. Guess his constant presence on the bandstand at almost every of APCs gathering blossomed into a full fledged membership. So strong is his membership that hes nursing a Senatorial ambition on the partys platform. A friend of mine, Seyi Odetola shared a post on his wall some days ago in which he highlighted the plight of a Primary School in Ikorodu. Ipaja-Ayobo road which work commenced in 2010 is abandoned. People going to Ayobo these days prefer to head to Igando-Iyana Iba road only to make use of makeshift bridges at Odo-eran, Lanre and Igando for a fee. Iyana Ejigbo-Egbe road has been under rehabilitation since 2003. In the face of all these neglect and need for strong positive governmental actions, I was stunned, miffed, dysphoric to know that the Lagos State Government is one of the sponsors of the KWAN 1 unusual Concert. I need to know of what economic value is the concert to the people of Lagos state? I want to know if such expense was captured in the 2014 Appropriation Act of Lagos State? Was there a request sent to the Lagos State House of Assembly approving of such action? If the Lagos State Government sponsorship is not monetary, what kind of sponsorship is it? I remember that Tiger Woods had a lot of sponsorship and endorsement deals cancelled in the wake of his messy divorce with his wife. Lance Amstrong was not any different when it finally came out he was a cheat...so Im left wondering how a man who is a classical definition of the height of low moral values is considered worthy enough for such patronage by the State Government? Which role model or values are we promoting for the generation next to emulate? This is one man who justified his marrying of his ex-wife niece citing instance of stories from the Holy Bible. A muslim justifying his act of incest with the Bible smirks desperation. Is this fair on Lagosian? Is this fair on taxpayers? Is this a sensible expenditure by the LASG from accruals from taxation of Lagosians by Mr. Tax anything and everything Fashola? Does this not amount to breach of public trust, nepotism and abuse of office? I will still affirm that PDP is not the problem and APC is not the solution when one is not unmindful of Fasholas action... Fasholas unusual governance..
