FB family and friends, I have a community minded request for each and every one of you. Tonight I saw a Black Friday commercial for Macys that was advertising door buster specials for 8pm THANKSGIVING NIGHT! As someone whos had to navigate the ninth circle of Retail Hell Im imploring ALL of you to stand up for those who have to give up their family holidays so the rest of humanity can save an extra 15% on their cant live without it - insert item here - crap. Its bad enough that the other big box stores *read Wal-Mart* started this insanely greedy trend of trying to get ahead of the competition by being open at 3am. Can we PLEASE put aside our inane consumerism for one day? Im asking you all to boycott every store that opens before 7am on Black Friday morning. (I hold that 7 is the most reasonable hour to be out shopping). No One needs that new X-Box/PS4/Samsung 94 touchscreen interactive TV/Leather trench coat that badly that you have to screw someone out of their holiday because they need their job that badly. So PLEASE be part of the solution and not the problem. And while youre at it, check out and support your local small businesses this holiday season! That is the gift that keeps on giving!
