Senators Klobuchar (MN) and Blunt (MO) are co-leading a letter to the President of Guatemala’s Constitutional Court asking that the court move to expedite a resolution for the remaining 26 outstanding cases of adoption by U.S. families. The Guatemalan government had previously committed to resolving all cases by the end of 2013. Each of these cases has been in limbo since Guatemala’s inter-country adoption ban went into effect in 2008. THE DEADLINE FOR SIGNATURES IS CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON FRIDAY, NOV. 21st.
