FEATURING: Wilson Pickett (March 18, 1941 – January 19, 2006) was an American R&B, soul and rock and roll singer and songwriter. In The Midnight Hour by Wilson Pickett was the first fast song that I ever had the nerve to dance to. Because of my intense shyness, I was the consummate wall-flower unless a slow song was being played. Then, and only then would I ask a girl to dance. Yet, in 1966, one night while clubbing in Germany, after having imbibed one too many :) ... about midnight the DJ played Wilson Picketts signature song. I dont recall whether I was asked to dance or whether I got up my nerve to ask a young lady to dance ... But the point being, I hit the floor and had a hell of a ball! I dont know whether it was the song ... the liquor ... or the girl, but I was out there and I did my thing ... And surprisingly, to the applause of the crowd!! Ive only experienced that feeling a couple of times since. ... It was a night to remember and the song that made it possible. https://youtube/watch?v=FGVGFfj7POA&feature=player_detailpage&list=RDFGVGFfj7POA
