FELLOW RUNNERS: I hurt my right knee again running today. Im beginning to think I have IT Band Syndrome, with sharp pain at or around Gerdys Tubercle. My new shoes kept me pain free for about a month. They are a minimalist shoe, designed to open and rotate the hips and lengthen the hamstrings and calves, as you run. I havent needed my knee savers since I bought these shoes. I usually interval train: sprint on about 6.8, walk, power walk, sprint again for a total of 35 - 40 minutes. Today, I slowed my pace to 5.3 and steadily jogged for a longer period of time. Ouch immediately after my run and the sharp, stabbing pain got worse as the day progressed. Any fellow runners with ITBS?? Knee on ice right now. And I need to know where to purchase a therapeutic foam roller.
