FESTIVE BADAM KHEER INGREDIENTS Milk powder - 2 cups Almonds, powdered - 200 gms Sugar - 1 cup Saffron, dissolved in 4 tbsp. water - 1/2 tsp Water - 4 cups For garnishing: Almonds, blanched and slivered - 20 Pistachios, blanched and slivered - 20 Raisins - 4 tbsp Green Cardamom powder - 1 tsp METHOD Mix water and milk powder. Bring to a boil. Add the saffron and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle the ground almond in batches so that no lumps are formed. Cook till you get a sauce of dropping consistency. This will require at least 10-12 minutes. Add half cup of milk if required. Now add the sugar and simmer for 5 mins. Remove from fire, cool and add cardamom powder and garnish with raisins and nuts.
