FETAC Certificate in Aquaculture (Level 5) Course schedule: 03 February 2014 (applications by 06 December 2013) Aquaculture training is provided at our college in Castletownbere, contact [email protected] on 027 71230 Objective: This course is designed to give comprehensive training in the skills required to work competently on a fish/shellfish farm or hatchery. Qualification: FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Aquaculture Entry Requirements: Junior or Leaving Certificate and/or relevant life and work experience Candidates are selected by interview Duration: 4 months full-time or accumulation of minor award credits over time towards the award of the certificate. Progression: Students can progress to GMIT’s Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology. The following minor awards may be of interest to practising fish farmers.
