MASAR IBRAHIM WEEKLY FALL WALKS 2014 Saturday, 1st November 2014 Ain Samia to Auja Our one day walks attract local Palestinians, students, foreign residents and tourists, who love nature, and would like to explore ancient history and culture. Hike from Ain Samia, which is rich with water springs and water systems that were built along the aqueducts of the ancient ruins of the area to Ain Samia down a winding canyon which brings you out of the Jordan River valley, just north of Jericho. Be prepared as the hike is long and challenging, yet will prove to be rewarding! Walking distance: Approximately 11 km Walking time: Approximately 4- 5 hours Difficulty: Difficult Recommendations: • Lightweight walking boots • Walking poles • At least 3 - 4 liters of water and snacks for the hike • Sunscreen and a hat • Your camera Rate: • 100 NIS Included: • An experienced local hiking guide • Traditional lunch in a Bedouin tent in the Auja desert • Transportation from the Jerusalem Hotel and back As part of a generous grant that the Siraj Center has received, the above special offer includes a 50% discount from the fees of previous years’ walks.
