FG remains committed to using education as catalyst for national development -Dr Nwaobiala The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. MacJohn Nwaobiala has declared that the Federal Government remains committed to using education as a catalyst for national development, hence the huge investments in human capital development under the Transformation Agenda. The Permanent Secretary who spoke in Budapest, Hungary recently during visits to three Hungarian Universities noted that education has witnessed tremendous development because of the quality investments by the Jonathan administration, which are tied to the four-year strategic plan for the education sector. He noted that the collaboration with the Hungarian universities was part of the process of improving access to university education for all Nigerians. Dr Nwaobiala said that it was necessary for the Federal Ministry of Education and Nigerian Universities to copntinue to share best practices with other international universities for the sustained improvement of the sector. The Permanent Secretary was part of the delegation of the Minister of State for Education, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to Hungary for the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the award of scholarships to Nigerian Students between the Minister and his Hungarian counterpart, Dr. Laszlo Palkovics.
