The reason why I have never come to The Gambia before is that Gambia has been going through unstable situation and trouble within the federation, and I believe lot of work has been done during the past 18 months of the crisis which I followed at a distant” he said. He added that his Coming to The Gambia is to see how they can help to develop Gambian football. We know some people are there but we know some positions need to be filed and we will try to support the federation to fill them .Our visit was purposely to see and hear from the new executive, and see some of the FIFA Projects like the Win In Africa, For Africa Project in Brikama, the FIFA Goal Project and the technical Center in Yundum” he said. On the issue of the technical Training center, Mr Francesco acknowledged that it is in a poor condition and need maintenance too. “This are some of the things which are going to be our priorities when we go back to present our proposal to the FIFA development committee for support during their next meeting in February” he revealed.
