FILL THOU MY LIFE Fill Thou my life, O Lord my God, In every part with praise, That my whole being may proclaim Thy being and Thy ways. Not for the lip of praise alone, Nor e’en the praising heart I ask, but for a life made up Of praise in every part! Praise in the common words I speak, Life’s common looks and tones, In fellowship in hearth and board With my belovèd ones; Not in the temple crowd alone Where holy voices chime, But in the silent paths of earth, The quiet rooms of time. Fill every part of me with praise; Let all my being speak Of Thee and of Thy love, O Lord, Poor though I be, and weak. So shalt Thou, Lord, from me, e’en me, Receive the glory due; And so shall I begin on earth The song forever new. So shall each fear, each fret, each care Be turned into a song, And every winding of the way The echo shall prolong; So shall no part of day or night From sacredness be free; But all my life, in every step Be fellowship with Thee. Hymn Written By: Horatius Bonar Praise the Lord!! Every hour of every day! It is so very important to return to the simplicity of the Faith. That is to desire fellowship with the Lord Jesus-- Who loved us and gave Himself for us. So many today are pursuing their own dreams and goals and do not have a deep desire to fellowship with the Lord. They do not open up the Bible. They do not pray and seek His face. They have forgotten their zeal of when they first got saved. The zeal to grow close to Jesus. Yet our bible says that our help cometh from the Lord. He is our Refuge. He is our peace, our joy, our strength. He is our Shield, our Defender. Yet so many Christians are looking everywhere but to Him. May we ever desire to be close to Him. May we cling to Him-- Who is our life! Only Jesus can satisfy the longing of our hearts. We are to look to the Lord and Him alone for strength. In every hour of every day...may our prayer be: "I need Thee, O Lord" Psalm 21:13 Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. Jeremiah 9:23-24 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
