FILL YOUR CUP It’s no secret Americans’ waistlines have increased over the years…so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that our bra sizes have, too. In fact, the average American woman has gone up three cup sizes in the last three decades, from a 34B to a 34DD. Lingerie experts point out that as recently as 20 years ago, there were fewer bra sizes to choose from, which meant more voluptuous ladies had no choice but to squeeze into smaller bras. So while the data suggests American boobs have gotten bigger, it may also just mean more women are purchasing bras that actually fit them. Several bra retailers say they have noticed an increase in demand for E, G and H cups. Perhaps the popularity of breast implants also has something to do with it.
