FINALLY JUSTICE HAS PREVAILED. A 33 year old driver of Ndola has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment with hard labour for stealing four cars worth K69 500. This is in a case in which JOE CHISHIMBA pleaded Guilty to four counts of Mortor vehicle theft. When the matter came up for plea before Ndola Chief Resident Magistrates Paul Chisha on Monday, Chishmba admitted the charges. Particulars of the offence are that Chishimba, between April 5, 2013 and May 3, 2013 in Ndola, jointly and while acting together with others unknown, stole four TOYOTA COROLLAS. In the first count, it was alleged that Chishimba stole a Toyota Corolla Registration number ACJ 950 worth K13 000 from John Nalukumba . In the second count, it was alleged that Chishimba stole a Toyota Corolla Registration number ABP 5595 worth K20 000 from Maxwell Mandona. In the third count, it was alleged that Chishimba stole a Toyota Corolla Registration number ABL 9193 worth K13 000 from KUMESA KAUTA-The author. In the fourth count, it was alleged that Chishimba stole a Toyota Corolla Registration number ACH 1429 worth K13 500 from Victor Kapambwe. In the fourth count, on April 21, 2013, around 14; 00hrs, Commrade Kauta went to visit his friend at Mukuba flats in Hill crest. Around 18:00hrs when he was about to leave, he found that his vehicle was stolen and reported to Hillcrest Police Post. #ZAMBIA DAILY MAIL-PAGE 5
