FINALLY!!!! The moment so many have been waiting for. Journey has been caught. Many people have attempted and failed to catch this pretty girl including animal control. She has been on the run for several months in Manchester. No one knows her story but everyone wanted to help her. She would frequent the same businesses daily where she knew she would get food from the nice employees. Journey would gladly take their food and then bolt before anyone could touch her. However, yesterday was different. Leann, a lady who had been trying to catch her since November, walked from her business to the Dollar General. When she returned, there was Journey waiting for her. She said Journey danced around as if she wanted to play. She was in disbelief. Is this for real? So Leann ran to the Dollar General this time and low and behold Journey ran there and back with her. Then Journey laid on her back asking for a belly rub. How amazing is this. Leann, after months of trying, had finally earned Journeys trust. The reason for Journey given in could be the fact that she is pregnant, very pregnant. Leann feels the puppies are only 3 weeks or so away. Journey knows she will need a safe, warm place to have her babies and she knew she had to trust a human in order for this to happen. Journey had been sleeping for months on a dirt hill beside the tracks with the little white boy that animal control caught in a live trap just last week. This little white boy is most likely the daddy from what I am told. Leann would love nothing more than to keep this sweet girl but sadly she can not. Leann has asked us to help her find a home or a rescue that can help. Journey is skittish but with time, like with Leann she will trust you. She now climbs up in Leanns lap and lays at her feet. Leann has a crate set up for her in her office but leaves the door open. Journey goes in the crate on her on to rest and the comes back to be near Leann. This little girl just wants and needs to be loved. She has been on her own so long, depending on strangers to leave her food out and sleeping without shelter. It is her time to know what love is. She lost her best friend and companion last week when he was caught. He (snowball to locals) is now known as Cyrus and has gone to Dogingham Palace Rescue where he is learning to trust as well. Now it is Journeys turn. If you are a rescue willing to take in the sweet soon to be mama please let us know. We can get you in contact with Leann. If you would like to adopt Journey please let us know as well. If there is anyone willing to give Journey a forever home we would be more than happy to assist in finding rescue for the puppies once weaned. We will also help pay for Journeys vetting, vaccinations and of course spay. This little girl will be forever grateful to the person who opens their heart and home to her. Once you have her trust she will love you forever. Surely one of the many people who have posted her picture and plead for help for her would like to give her a home. Journey is a small girl.
