FINANCIAL AID: Capstone College is approved by the U.S. - TopicsExpress

FINANCIAL AID: Capstone College is approved by the U.S. Department of Education for participation in the Title IV programs. Two types of aid are available to the typical student, the grant and loan. Grants are based on financial need and are, in effect, gifts. They do not have to be repaid. Student loans, on the other hand, represent loans from the U.S. Department of Education. Repayment begins 6 months after you stop attending. You must repay your student loans including interest. Interested students may contact the Financial Aid Department for information concerning these programs: Pell Grant, SEOG (Supplemental Education Opportunity grants), Federal Stafford Loan Program, CWS (College Work Study). The Department of Education has developed a Net Price Calculator to assist prospective and current students in evaluating the price of the education as well as the estimates costs of transportation, housing, and food for the period of time that they are enrolled in school. The FAFSA is the first financial aid document that a student should fill out. It will show the amount of Pell grant a student may qualify for. Students may complete their FAFSA online by clicking the link below. The school code is 030199. fafsa.ed.gov/
