FINE PARENTS IF KIDS MISS CLASS? Do you agree with the school that’s fining parents of students who miss a week of school. The parents will be issued with a £60 fine if their child is off school for more than 5 days with anything other than a very serious illness. They’re even considering hiring inspectors to check that their pupils aren’t just pulling a sickie. But is this really the best way to curb truancy? Isn’t it up to the parent to decide if their child is seriously ill?
