FIR registered against Sarpanch Posted on December 5, 2013 by Dailyexcelsior Excelsior Correspondent MENDHAR, Dec 4: The police has registered an FIR against a Sarpanch for the attack on local villager and severely beating him in Gursai area of Mendhar. A police spokesman said that an FIR No. 97/2013 under Sections 323/325 RPC has been registered against Sarpanch Nazir Hussain of Jarhan Wali Gali in Gursai area and his three sons for allegedly beating up Mohd Sadiq (47), son of Fateh Mohd of Jarhan Wali Gali two days back. Initially the police avoided to take cognizance but after public pressure from the locals, the police today registered an FIR. No arrest has been reported so far. During attack, two teeth of the victim were also broken and after severe beating, the poor villager was thrown on the road side. Later, the locals removed him to Mendhar hospital. He was admitted there and was still under treatment for the last two days.
