FIRE DESTROYS ST. JOHN HOME The fire bug struck in the community of Cheshire, St. John early this morning, destroying a single timber house in the process. Fire officials tell CBC News around 2:50 a.m. the house occupied by Allison Lowe and her three children was gutted. The smoldering remains of wood and mangled galvanize sheets told the tale of what occurred. Two fire tenders and six officers under the command of Station Officer Gordon Boxill responded to the blaze.
