FIRST TRIP FOR CAMBRIDGE TENNIS TO THE LOWVELD The Junior Tennis Teams from Cambridge made their first trip to the Lowveld on Saturday. Altogether 15 players from the Primary School took off to White River to compete against Uplands College and Pennryn College. The smiling faces were evidence of huge excitement about the matches of the day. For some learners it was their first matches ever to be played. The U/11 team won against Uplands and lost against Pennryn while the U/13 boys lost both their matches. The players gained valuable experience, seeing that it was a first for Cambridge kids. “Looking at the youngsters the future of Cambridge tennis is looking very bright”, so says Charl Basson, tennis coach who accompanied the players. “I am very proud of every player that goes all the distance to improve their skills from week to week. These players will see the fruit of their hard work and dedication in the years to come”
