FLAWS IN THE MODERN SERVANT CHURCH MODEL A servant posture - TopicsExpress

FLAWS IN THE MODERN SERVANT CHURCH MODEL A servant posture which is often celebrated as the highest level in the contemporary church, thrives in an empirical, political and at times nepotistic church model. This is because of the of the selling of a perceived trade off, or pay off by coming into Come into a higher level. Paying, and doing and busy involvement ( which are prescribed to assist in unfolding your personal destiny) are often mechanisms of the paying of indulgences which further the growth machine myth- e.g. you should, you must, you need to, do just a bit more, pray more. read more, sow more , to get it over the line .. to get to the next level...., its a win / win etc.. The hook clause is that this is measured as faithfulness. You have heard it all before :-) A servant is neither the status or functionality of a friend, nor a son. ( John 15;15), yet he may be a very good worker of buzzing and killing himself amping at Christian tasks. Neither does any of his Christian work have a bearing on his relationship with the grace of God. Of course sons do serve. However their economy and motivation is from a different source: FATHER. John 1:12 Years back in NZ, I spoke to a group of trainee church leaders who were vibrantly breaking their backs doing all of the above over a 1-2 year period, with the hope of a church leadership future. I posed a simple question: Can you hear God? - can you locate, access and develop in the presence of God? . Answer unanimously, No!- We are to busy serving, because we have been told that is the WAY UP!! . Sad. When his (the servants) perception of payoff changes, he has to move to where pay off is perceived in order to survive and protect himself. . His M.O. (modus operandi) is - self protect, self provide. which is the M.O. of an orphan. Length of time, in service, volumes of offerings to build edifices,... just a bit more of volunteer time, to achieve a perceived future pay off state are erroneous in the context of being a son of God. Often many of these actions are to gain a perceived better identity, advance in the system or payoff. The contemporary church which by nature is in need of massive amounts of human and financial capital, and labour force, to sustain its overheads and Succeed because it is a very hungry machine, has to keep the servant model amping and motivated. Budget met, chairs full = SUCCESS ./ Budget down, ( Good vote) some empty chairs = FAILURE ( Bad vote) = amp more people to work harder. Yet our father can strip anything from us personally or organizationally to allow us to die to some stuff and draw closer to him. Sons accept that as a maturity process into representing Christ. Inherently it has keep people distant from the realities of true sonship, lest they dig deep into biblical doctrine and ask questions like why. Best to keep it topical only to the needs of people, rather than reveal Christ and a new posture of living. If you bring accurate revelatory doctrinal empowerment to ordinary people about their standing in Christ as Sons of God, they then perceive and measure life different, not from the vantage point of benefit of visual cues of herding of masses of people as any kind of Kingdom indicator. There is nothing to be bought at all. The problem the spirit of sonship recognizes the empirical hireling, and sees no need to do more brick building for Pharaohic systems. You will notice Zoe life factor ( The life of God) lifting of many such modern brick building slavery systems which are beginning to falter now ( Exodus 5). No its not winter, and its not an attack.
