FLC 2014.. oh boy. Im sorry this is long, but I swear its worth reading. 2nd FLC. Dont even know what to say about it to be honest. Let me start off by saying that I wish I gave my wristband away when I first considered it. And thats not because I didnt love FLC because I totally did, but I wish more of you could have experienced the same amazing thing I did today. Flashback to one year ago, I was a freshman with no expectations when I first entered the gym into FLC 2013. To sit there with 3000 other people with a passion for service was a feeling I wont forget to this day. The moment everyone silences when the community/international project video plays... thats where your heart starts rushing. The moment when, Interact D5170, do you accept this challenge? shows up on the screen is when your heart stops. And then you scream your lungs out realizing that YOU are the change. YOU can make a difference. This is your opportunity to be a part of something bigger than you could have ever imagined... are you going to take it? And nothing compares to your first FLC. But attending my second, I learned something new. Aside from the energy flowing from every corner of the gym, FLC hit me in a different way this year. FLC isnt for the inspired. FLC isnt for the Interactors that have already found their passion for service, but its for the people who have the potential to. FLC is for the people who never thought they could make a difference in the world. Its for the people who have the potential to care. And I hope that for all of you people who came to FLC with zero expectations, who only came because everyone said it was fun, I hope you left inspired. FLC is my favorite Interact event every year, but if it meant more of you could attend every year, I wouldnt mind if this was my last. Thank you again to the wonderful Dynamo DC for setting up the first amazing event out of many more to come ^_^ I love you 5170
