FLESH NATURE In the wilderness of sin the flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. The flesh nature continually murmurs against the messenger of God. First they murmured against Moses who repeatedly reveals to them they are murmuring against Yahweh. To murmur against the message and the messenger is murmuring against the Lord. Our flesh nature is no different today then theirs was in the wilderness of sin. We share the same concerns “What shall we drink” and “what shall we eat”? Why chide with me? Wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? Ex17:16 for he said, because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with AMALEK from generation to generation. Thru ALL the travail Ex18:8 (the pangs of child birth) (strenuous physical and mental suffering) “THE LORD DELIVERED THEM” Ex18:20 and thou shalt teach them--. Today what the Holy Spirit (anointing) wants to teach us the contrast still exists between the flesh and the Spirit. We must be born of the spirit and mind the things of the spirit because the things of God are spiritually understood. The carnal mind does not perceive the things of God. Two major laws exist one is the law of sin and death and the other is the law of the SPIRIT of LIFE in CHRIST JESUS. The law of sin and death governs our sin nature (flesh) (old man). We have been given two very important principles to govern our lives one is the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS and the other is THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS. We have been given a very real gift of righteousness the gift is meant for us TODAY while we are still here. The law of the spirit gives us the AUTHORITY we need to live HOLY (whole) and complete mature lives with Him when we believe when we TODAY do not harden our hearts. People keep saying it takes time it takes time as though it has to take a very long time to come to the Lord. We are lead to believe it takes a much stretched out long time to accept life with Jesus because it took the children so long in the wilderness. We have the advantage of Hine sight we have the opportunity to see the consequences of surrendering to the law of the Lord to live blessed. Or to murmur and complain and provoke the anger of the Lord that brings on us curses. We have the example of Moses who had the same nature as ourselves yielding and seeking to continue to do God’s willed no matter how difficult it was. We see that in spite of his shortcomings the Lord was able to use Moses. He has made it abundantly clear to us that he is able to do more with us because we are in a better COVANANT thru the BLOOD of Jesus. He is able to deliver us from our fits of anger in the flesh when we accept Him. The opposition is still the same as in Moses’ day human flesh nature still rebels, still gets angry and still does not like the true word of God. The man of God posed a very good question concerning pleasing himself, pleasing others or pleasing God. We are faced with a very important decision to abide in Him and allow and acknowledge His abiding in us. The doctrine is the big difference between us and them. I looked up the word doctrine it means: That which is presented for acceptance or belief; teachings, as of a religious or political group. A particular PRINCIPLE or tenet that is taught or a body of such PRINCIPLES and tenets. PRINCIPLE: that which is inherent in anything determining its NATURE; ESSENCE a source or cause from which a thing proceeds. An ESSENTIAL CONSTITUENT of a compound or substance that gives its CHARACTER to it. We live at the level of our confession this is a very important principle to learn. It is extremely important to follow Jesus’ example in the wilderness how he overcame the adversary with the right use of the word. It is written and stated to the enemy what is really written. The word is power the word is the resistance we need resist evil and it will flee from you. There is a place in the word where we are told we are snared by the words of our mouth. The correct word of God sets us FREE from the snares and traps of the enemy. The same tactics used on Jesus are used on us today. Inspire of the opposition I choose to declare what the word actually says. I choose to believe my flesh dies daily, the Holy Spirit indwells and provides according to the will of my Father according to the power and authority given to the name of His Son Jesus (Yashoua) and I can consider myself PERFECT according to the promises of Yahweh. Two things I have been told to do simultaneously, I am to consider my old man dead daily and I am to acknowledge the COMPLETENESS of CHRIST in me. I have the benefits of a true branch abiding in a true vine attended to by the husbandman Himself. I get to live and have my being according to the principle of the potter and the clay. I am the clay and He the Lord is the potter and He is very capable to make me a vessel for His use in His kingdom. For the here and now light is provided by Him my part is to believe in my heart and confess with my lips and so I am saved from being a slave to my sin nature and I continue on the path that leads to everlasting life. I apologize for any inconvenience you suffer as the Holy Spirit continues my training teaching me to mind the things of the spirit and submit my flesh to be crucified. For me the whole teaching concerning the children of Israel and Moses is a complete revelation concerning our sinfulness and how it must be dealt with. I think too much emphasis has been on Egypt and the unnamed pharaoh as a certain land and a certain people when really it is exactly as stated a time in the wilderness of sin where we have the opportunity to Know our redeemer and receive redemption life to start living in part now until we arrive at the time of the FULLNESS. I want to learn quickly how to live at the level of my confession while living around others who do not share my beliefs. I hope we all get better at accepting each other’s stages of development. I do know certainly we are not realizing the gibbet that Jesus said we are to take up and follow him. The Holy Spirit told me most recently there is prevailing UNBELIEF. The Holy Spirit has brought COMMUNITY UNBELIEF to my attention and let me know this is not new others before us have had to deal with the same conditions. The word of God has not changed we are to “take heed least there be in any of us an evil unbelieving heart”. Unbelief is the one thing mentioned why He was not able to do many mighty works in their midst. It is not unforgiveable we can get all the help we need. True humbleness is admitting to our weak areas we also can really say HELP THOU our UNBELIEF. Our choices have more influence on how long it takes us then some theory of “it takes time”. Some where the Lord said I would have BUT YOU WOULD NOT. If we need help in surrendering we have it provided to us by the SWEAT EQUITY of Jesus, He supplies our EVERY NEED. Sincerely, JUDITH KRISTICH
