FLWG Winter Encampment 2013-2014 Organized by FLWG Civil Air Patrol Encampments are week long activities that serve to build a foundation for cadets from which to build their Civil Air Patrol experience. These week long events provide in-depth orientation to Civil Air Patrol and the United States Air Force. Cadets can expect to be challenged both mentally and physically during a busy and exciting week of hands on leadership development training, aerospace events, and local site activities. Cadets returning as staff will be challenged even further through the leadership roles they will fill and staff duties they will perform. All cadets will have the opportunity to be introduced to the military, learn to overcome challenges, develop time-management skills, enhance their interpersonal skills, and have a great time. Florida Wing (FLWG) will conduct a Winter Encampment at the Silver Flag Exercise Site (SFES) on Tyndall AFB, Florida, from 29 December 2013 to 4 January 2014. Basic cadets who arrive early (during staff training days, prior to 1100 29 Dec) must pay an additional fee during check-in to cover extra lodging and food cost, as specified in the operations order. This extra fee may be paid at this time or at a later date.
