What we are hearing is that the election-result subversion machine is being oiled as some PDP warlords’ teeth are set on edge to devour the wishes of the people in yesterday’s election which RAUF clearly won. How possible is this? Keeping vigil at the INEC center is Special Adviser to the governor on Environment, Bola Ilori who confidently told me; “Baba, there is no problem. We all have the results. We are just waiting for the final collation of a couple of results up to the Local Government level then the official announcement will come may be in the next 2 hours”. I asked Ilori if the result-falsification rumor is possible. He said; “it will be a new one, we have plugged all holes and I don’t know how they can pull that one through. It will be almost impossible with the information all of us have. But eternal vigilance is the price you pay for liberty, so we should all be vigilant”
