FOLKESTONE update: Police were called this evening after people who want Folkestones Banksy to stay in the town began protesting at Payers Park after discovering the art piece is to be removed and sold. Attempts were made by angry members of the public to tear down the sheeting around scaffolding, but police moved in to prevent them. However, workers have begun cutting the Banksy from the wall of the amusement arcade, while police remain to prevent the removal from being disrupted. Owner of the Bankrobber Gallery in London, Robin Barton (pictured), is believed to have found a buyer for the Bansky, entitled Art Buff, and is on site at Payers Park overseeing the removal of the artwork, after coming to an arrangement with the proprietors of the amusement arcade. Mr Barton is believed to have been involved in about 5 or 6 other deals involving the removal and sale of Banksys.
