FOOD & BEVERAGE MONTH- You leave honey everywhere Sometimes I wonder if you care This was the Players at their commercial peak.As far as the Funk bands are concerned ,they have an interesting place. They were above groups like Confunkshun,The Bar-kays & Lakeside,but slightly below groups like Earth Wind & fire & Parliament Funkadelic.I kind of think that only happened because they never made the jump to big coliseum type of shows. Around this time,they could have conceivably made that leap. Nevertheless, a truly original group, that always sounded like themselves. They also had covers that were legendary.....especially for 12 & 13 year old boys. ;-)
