FOOD FOR THOUGHT GREAT REWARD ATTRACTS GREAT RISK Refusing to leave the shore when attempting to cross the ocean is equivalent to a person wanting the rewards of the day, without seizing the day. In the incisive words of the foremost voyager, Christopher Columbus, this truth is better illustrated; You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore. If we truly want to earn the rewards that require large risks, we should also be willing to take these large risks. Remember, life itself is risk. The day a man is born, he stands the risk of dying from that day. Too many times people expect rewards without taking any risk at all. Thats living in a fantasy island. If a person is not willing to take risks; to discover and exploit opportunity in their lifetime, then they are robbing themselves of the numerous opportunities to become a star in their chosen career. The truth is, it may be easier to sit back and live your life without taking risks. However, without going through the open doors of a palace, one will never enjoy the treasure therein. From today, I want you to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and discover your purpose. Pursue it with all tenacity and the sky will just be your beginning. David took one of the greatest risks in his life by daring Goliath and he got a great reward. Remember, when God is on your side, no risk is too great to take; great risk, great reward.
