St George Hospital Food Services is seeking suitable applicants for a Permanent Part time position, working 20 hours per week in the food services department. The position is classified as Hospital Assistant Grade 2 and shifts are between 5.30 am and 8.00 pm, applicants must be prepared to work any time any day. Selection Criteria Recent experience in the food services environment in hospital patient’s meal services/Retail meal services and/or in large scale commercial kitchen or similar. Recent food services experience in aged care facility or nursing home will also be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of customer service. Food handling certificate or equivalent recognised course on safe food handling. Sound knowledge of WH&S, Infection Control, and Manual Handling principles. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills and ability to read order forms, menus, policies and procedures, and instructions written in English. Ability to read, understand and complete online work related training without supervision. Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster, working variety of morning and afternoon shifts as per the need of the hospital.
