FOP lodge 5-30 nominations were tonight. I was privileged to be nominated for 1st Vice President. I will be running against Lonnie Miller Jr. You wont hear me say anything negative in my campaign about Lonnie. He has been an asset to Lodge 5-30 and he continues to be as a state FOP board member. What I will say is I want to keep OUR lodge on the same path its on. Weve worked to go forward and we will continue to face arduous fights. We face pension and contract battles as well as other political fights. We have been blessed with a great contract team that I would like to continue to work with. Ive been on the front lines advocating for officers my whole career. Ive sat on several disciplinary hearing boards and been asked to sit on many. Ive been selected to sit on numerous protest committees for promotional tests. Ive been on a contract committee and served on the board in 2004 and 2005. Even when I havent on the board Ive been on the front lines advocating for and defending officers rights as well as their livelihoods. I want to be your representative and defender going forward. Please consider voting for me for Vice President. I will be issuing a separate statement for Steve Amos for president. Steve stepped into a whirlwind in March and has responded with integrity, professionalism and an open door. Steve Amos for president!!
