FOR ANYONE THAT USES A TRAIN EVERY DAY... PLEASE BE TAKE NOTE...... Network Rail has advised that a 40 mph speed limit will apply for trains in Scotland tomorrow. This is a precaution by Network Rail Scotland as a result of the severe winds and storms forecast for the morning. As a result, we will run a reduced number of trains on the most heavily used routes and are working with Network Rail to agree when we can safely resume the normal timetable. This decision will be continually reviewed by the industry as the weather conditions are assessed. Due to the extent of the restrictions, we are advising customers to consider whether their journey is essential. Full details of which routes are running, and the timetable information, will be on our website shortly.
