FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 21/OCT/2014 In wake of recent events in the southern border regions of Texas, Central Texas Militia would like to make a clear stand of our position on the current situation. The current operations taking place on the border are a hot topic for Texans with much emotion involved. It is our stance that until these operations can present themselves in a professional, lawful and strategically sound manner, we will not support such endeavors. Recently, the Commanding Officer of Camp Lonestar was arrested by Federal Agents on federal charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. This is the second person from Camp Lonestar to be ousted as a felon by federal agents in two months. Facts are this: This individual knowingly and intentionally broke the law when he came into possession of a firearm. These actions are disgraceful and destructive to the entire militia/patriot community. I want to make it clear that these are the rogue actions of a few and should not be used to judge the moral standards and integrity of legitimate organizations in this state. Central Texas Militia actively works to build and maintain relations with local law enforcement agencies. These type of events do absolutely nothing but tarnish the rest of the militia community and their supporters. The law of the land stands and the law of the land shall prevail. Now, the full extent of the law shall be brought onto this individual. Hiding under a cloak of patriotism does not place you above the laws which citizens live. It is our belief that those who fight for the citizens of Texas should be held to a even higher standard. The ironic part of this entire situation is that in the process of attempting to thwart people from breaking federal immigration laws, they have broken federal firearm laws. Some seem to believe this is okay.. Double standards such as this are reminiscent to our modern day politicians and are inexcusable in patriot community. I would like to end this statement by recognizing two Texas organizations currently working within border communities while supporting local law enforcement and border patrol agents. Texas Border Volunteers & Golden Triangle Tactical. Keep up the good work. If you are interested in helping a reputable organization, contact GoldenTriangle Tactical or Texas Border Volunteers for more information. Regards, The Command Team Cpt.
