This fun filled event will features entertainment, park tours and various exhibits. This is a Tribute to Josephine Leavell Allensworth the wife of Colonel Allensworth and co-founder of this Historical Black town ,as we also honor pioneering spirits African American Women. Join us as we celebrate our first Tribute to Pioneering Women’s celebration in our Historical Black Township. This event, it will also serve a greater purpose, to serve as a vehicle through which we can enjoy the rhythms from Africa to America and fruits of success of our ancestors. This music festival a unique Diaspora experience that will educate, elevate the black conscience. Come and enjoy rhythms from Mali to Mississippi as we recognize over 400 years of struggle success and legacy of this unique black experience. This is a fundraising program that is intended to bring peoples of all ages together from communities through California for entertainment, education, relaxation and kinship while supporting the work of WE CAN. The program presents many excellent opportunities for participation, collaboration and sponsorship, and these can expand exposure and prospects for all involved.
