The sale offered six parcels in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale Gas Play, some of which fetched as much as $16,700 an acre, which is believed to be a record for both counties. “This event was a prime example of why the auction process is a win-win proposition,” said Randy Jelliff of United Country – Jelliff Auction Group, LLC, who – along with his son Dustin – acted as auctioneer for this event. “Auctions allow buyers to determine a property’s fair market value through the competitive bidding process, making it an effective and expedient way to buy and sell property in today’s market.” The auction drew 38 live and online bidders from Alabama, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. There were well over 80 people total in attendance.
