Greg has over 25 years direct experience in designing, building, testing, and operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). He has a distinguished career in the industry as an Army officer conducting UAS research with both the Army and NASA, industry entrepreneur, and for the past 15 years starting and leading the University of Alaska UAS program. As the Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer of the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration he was widely respected as he developed the most extensive and technically advanced program for the development and deployment of unmanned aircraft systems for civil applications around the world. Greg is regarded as the go to person on the operational, developmental, design and technical aspects of employing small UAS as well as the issues of integrating UAS into sovereign airspace worldwide. Greg graduated from the University of Wisconsin, in 1986 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and from Stanford University in 1988 with both an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
