FOR SALE: 1997 Pontiac Firebird - Asking $1400 Has 173,000+ miles and clear title. V6 engine. My personal driver until we got a new vehicle. It has been sitting at our house for about 2 years, undriven. Weve installed a brand new battery and put new tires on the front. It runs great. That said, it needs work done to the starter. It doesnt always start right away due to this, but when it does it runs perfectly. Needs new power window motors and freon in the air conditioning unit. Also needs work on the speedometer cable, it jumps around and needs to be adjusted by someone who knows what theyre doing. Needs front turn signal bulb replaced. The headlight motor makes a whining sound when you lower the lights, but it has NEVER caused the lights not to work--just trying to list everything as honestly as I can. It has a few minor scratches on the body that can probably be buffed out and one spot on the front bumper that has a good scrape (pictured). The things wrong with this car are all minor. NO oil leaks, NO engine problems, NO transmission problems. NO major issues. If someone took this car and put a few hundred dollars into it, and had it detailed, it would shine like a new penny! (It needs a good exterior cleaning since it has sat under a tree for awhile.) The interior is nice and clean and smells good, with only a small torn spot on the drivers seat (I think you can see in pic, its not bad). It would be a terrific starter car for a teen since its nice and sporty. With the V6 motor, its not a dangerous hotrod. I also have the face plate for the custom CD player, and the floor mats are in the back seat, forgot to place them for pictures. Please contact me with any questions. Located in Mt. Vernon.
