FOR SALE $300. Inbox me... A Rare Metal Trolley Car Sign from the Altoona and Logan Valley Electric Railway Co. These signs were hung on the front and rear of Trolleys and Streetcars. This metal sign is all original. One side is in incredible beautiful condition for its age. It reads Mansion Park The other side is in poor condition. The paint is cracked and missing in areas. It reads : To Football Game. The sign measures: 23 1/4 inches wide. 18 9/16 inches top to bottom. And from the top of the hooks to the bottom is 20 5/16 inches. I added a pic of a Altoona and Logan Trolley with the same type of metal sign to demonstrate these signs in use. The sign in the photo reads: Broad Ave to Park. It is not part of this sale. Mansion Park Stadium Altoona Area School Districts Mansion Park Stadium has long been recognized as one of the finest athletic complexes in Pennsylvania. The stadium, which has a seating capacity of 10,400, is a source of community pride and regularly serves as the site of a variety of events which benefit the economy of the Altoona-Blair County area. As a major railroad town, Altoona was founded by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) in 1849 as the site for a shop complex. Altoona was incorporated as a borough on February 6, 1854, and as a city under legislation approved on April 3, 1867, and February 8, 1868. Altoona is home to Horseshoe Curve, a curved section of track built by the PRR, has become a tourist attraction and National Historic Landmark. The curve was used to raise trains to a sufficient elevation to cross the Allegheny Ridge to the west.
