FOR THE RECORD! Ms. Eggerings mailer received by many of you the past couple of days claims that I was once removed from the ballot for not paying my taxes. The TRUTH of the matter is that 5 years ago I filed to run for Alderman, and was removed from the ballot because I was approximately 1 week past due on my WATER BILL. Embarassing? Yes! But being a week late on your water bill ( something I would believe nearly all of us have forgotten at one point in the past) is a far cry from not paying your taxes! Dont let the truth get in the way of your story, Ms. Eggering. Two years later, I did run, and then served a two year term on the Board of Aldermen. I am proud of my public service.
