I am happy to announce the endorsement of my candidacy by: MassAlliance massalliance.org a coalition for political and advocacy organizations that work together for a progressive Massachusetts, for being a champion with a clear record of supporting progressive values; SEIU Local 888 seiu888.org a local union including Steamship Authority employees, emergency dispatchers, public works employees, and others, for support of a strong, well-educated, and hard-working public service sector; Massachusetts Teachers Association massteacher.org the Commonwealths leading advocate for public schools at every level, for support of public education, education reform, increases to state budgets for higher education, and a commitment to equal educational opportunity for all; and Stonewall Veterans David Bermudez Velasco and Erica Kay-Webster stonewallvets.org lifelong advocates for the LGBT community, for unwavering commitment to social justice and equal dignity under the law. It is exciting and humbling to be endorsed by so many organizations whose values I share. Its these shared values that Cleon Turner turned into such a strong foundation for the District. Building on that foundation, Ill continue his good work and help launch the district into long-term, practical solutions to school funding, wastewater management, and fair and effective local transportation.
