FQ: I would like to hear from the mommas who worked and daddys stayed home for maternity leave. We are expecting our baby boy in 9 weeks. But we are prepared for him to come any day, just in case. My boyfriend and I live together. We have future plans to get married, no question about that! Just not right now since we are having a baby. The thing is, he makes $12.50 an hour, and I make $22 an hour. We both have government jobs and have already been approved by our bosses to have a 6 week leave. But we cant afford to have both of us take the time off, and still pay for our bills. We both agree, and Im totally fine leaving work for 1 week, or until healed. And I like the idea knowing he is home with our baby, to get that bonding time. Also our parents are very traditional, (they hate that we arent married and are living together because its not right in the Lords eyes) Telling them is another problem. What have you ladies done in this kind of situation? Or what would you suggest we do?-13
