FQ: Our second son is 9 days old and nursing has been extremely painful but Im determined to stick with it. We just found out our son is slightly tongue tied meaning the frenulum under his tongue is tighter than it should be. It isnt extremely tight but it does cause some problems when nursing. Im wearing nipple shields to help protect my raw nipples but they are such a hassle. Has anyone else had to deal with this? Did the frenulum eventually stretch or did it end up having to be cut? Did nursing get better? Thanks!
