FREE CAR!!! 2002 5 door hatchback. Silver 2L diesel turbo Vauxhall Vectra, 165,000miles(ish) on the clock. Are you mechanically minded and fancy making use of my old car?!! It drives really well and goes like sh*t off a shovel whilst still being really economical on the motorway, it’s a reliable motor and has served me really well over the past couple of years. It had a brand new clutch and flywheel fitted in Feb 2013, and had both front wheel bearings replaced at the same time (£1000 in total) and the battery is less than a year old. The down side? Tax and MOT are due in August, it will not get through the MOT without some time and money being spent on it – neither of which I have. (Also, I am moving to Lancashire tomorrow and my place of work is less than a mile from my front door – we don’t need 2 cars!) The problem? It needs new tyres, it has an oil leak, and the windscreen wipers are set at a jaunty angle across the windscreen when not in motion! However, I am very reluctant to just scrap the car because of the work it has had done fairly recently – it seems like a real waste to me. If you think you could make use of it then please let me know - if not, itll have to go to the scrapheap in the sky :-(
