FREE Lower Suwannee Refuge Hunt Permits Available Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge announces 2014-2015 Hunt Brochure/Permits are available now at several locations convenient to most Levy, Dixie, and Gilchrist County residents. You can find the free permits at: the Deer Stand, WalMart Sporting Goods Department, and your Levy and Dixie County tax offices. Regulations, a map and general information about the Refuge hunting program are included. In addition to archery, black powder, general gun, and small game, there will be a family hunt during three days at Thanksgiving, and three consecutive weekends of wild hog hunts in January. Youth spring gobbler, spring turkey, small game, and raccoon seasons are also covered in the free Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge Hunt Brochure/Permit. There are FREE downloads of the permit at fws.gov/lowersuwannee/hunting.html. If you can’t get to your tax office and don’t have access to a computer, call the Lower Suwannee NWR at 352/493-0238, ext.223, spell you last name, provide your address and the number of permits (5 or less) you want mailed to you.
