FREE Short Mystery in The 13th Prophet by T. Lucas Earle The 13th Prophet by T. Lucas Earle Was 99cents – FREE Nov 22-23, 2014 Mulligan Burke, an over-the-hill P.I. who has forsaken the evils of Personality implants, is brought back from Alaska to investigate the murder of one of the Prophets. The Prophets inhabit the highest position of the social hierarchy – they dictate fashion trends. Fashion, in this instance, encompasses much more than clothing. And, as Burke discovers, being fashionable is something to die – or kill – for. See what reviewers are saying: “FINALLY! After reading so many disappointing novella’s “The 13th Prophet” gives me hope for novellas everywhere. This is a GREAT novella – short, sweet, to the point. Earle gives you just enough information to be satisfied while still answering enough of your questions not be frustrating. The premise of this book is amazing and I wouldn’t mind if it were a full length novel. In Earle’s future Earth, personalities have become like computer programs, manufactured and requiring constant updating. What is even freakier is that these personalities have to be siphoned from someone who embodies the trait. There are 12 personalities and the 12 people who are siphoned are called Prophets. I’ll leave you to read it because I don’t want to give too much away, it’s hugely intriguing. Earle had me from start to finish on the end of my seat. The story was beautifully thought out, the main character – Mulligan Burke – is wonderful testament to purity and humanity. I won’t heap too much more praise on this novella but let me just say it is truly worth reading!!! Earle keeps you thinking down to the last moment and beyond. I’m still not sure if the ending was sweet or horrible…” by Literary George “I wish I could sit around in T. Lucas Earle’s brain, poke some things and drink a bit of tea. I would probably consider stealing some beautifully crafted sentences but realize they fit more at home there and I could always come visit. The 13th Prophet will haunt you – in a good way. You’ll likely feel the need to force read it to your friends so they will discuss it with you; yet at the same time you’ll want to horde this story as your own personal mind blowing experience. If you haven’t read this short story or his others or his blogs, get the f’ on it.” By Robyn This blog post can be found at allmysterynewsletter/?p=11421
