Ospreys are 6/6 in the Pro 12. Sounds impressive, yet when you take a closer look at the quality of the opposition, its all sides you would expect them to beat. They beat Munster in Thomond Park which was an excellent result. Aside from that though, theyve beaten both Italian sides, the Dragons and Cardiff at home. Connacht have had a good start themselves, with 4 wins and a draw from 6 games. They have beaten champions Leinster and their only defeat was away to Glasgow, the competitions best team. Team news is crucial here. The Ospreys have had to make a lot of changes as their best players are all with the Welsh team. The likes of Alun Wyn Jones, Nicky Smith, Scott Baldwin, Rhys Webb and Dan Biggar are all unavailable. Number 8 Dan Baker is also out injured. Connacht on the other hand are without Robbie Henshaw and Nathan White. They have Kieran Marmion, Darragh Leader and Rodney Ah You released from the Ireland squad to play here. The big news from their camp is that new signing Bundee Aki starts in the centre. Aki has just arrived from Counties Manukau in New Zealand and is a quality player, who has won the Super Rugby title with the Chiefs. Connacht are much closer to full strength than the Ospreys and will fancy their chances of causing an upset. Theyve been making real progress under Pat Lam and I like them to stay within a fairly big handicap here. I wouldnt put anyone off backing them for the win either at an appealing price.
