FREEDOM HOUSE On Tuesday, October 22, a new report on the transnational impact of Chinese media censorship will be released. The report, authored by Freedom House senior research analyst Sarah Cook with assistance from the China Media Bulletin editorial team, is titled “The Long Shadow of Chinese Censorship: How the Communist Party’s Media Restrictions Affect News Outlets Around the World.” The Center for International Media Assistance (CIMA) at the National Endowment for Democracy, which funded the study, will hold a panel discussion from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., also featuring a report about Chinese state television’s international expansion.
