FRI 14/03/2014 WHO CAN WALK WITH GOD? 2 Matt11:29 We want to conclude the teaching on who can walk with God as I share with you two more things that must be traceable to you if you will walk with God: 2. Teachable Spirit: Any man that cannot follow the leading of the Lord cannot walk with God. The ways of the Lord are not the ways of men. We must allow the lord to lead us in the way to go. His ways might appear very foolish at the onset but when the time of delivery arrives, it would be clear that He is the only wise God. Rom8:14–17. Only those who allow the spirit of the Lord to teach them are qualified to be called the sons of God. At this level, you no longer find it hard to obey, because a true son will always obey his father. The Bible says “there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is destruction” Your flesh will always want to contend with the truth from your spirit. So, subdue your flesh so that the spirit will have its full place. The ways of a man always please him a lot, but you must submit to God’s leading. 3. A man that never loses hope: What has God told you that seem it’s not forth coming? Don’t lose hope on them. So many people are going to church today just to please their pastors not because of their faith. When you are not serving God with excitement, it is trouble. So many people now believe they can’t get to the peak of God’s fulfillment for their lives anymore. Do not lose hope. Psalm 39:7-“And now, Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee” If you must walk with God, then your hope must be intact, it must carry life. Lazarus never lost hope in God, despite the fact that Jesus delayed until he died; even in death, he never lost hope. When the time for the manifestation of God’s glory comes, He rises up on the throne and beautifies your life. God promised to make Abraham father of nations but until his death he never saw the manifestation, Glory to God, we can see it happening today. If God has promised to lift you up, He meant it, that is why he said it, but can’t dictate the time to Him; He does beautifully in His time. PRAYER POINT: -Father, I receive a teachable Spirit that listens to You and a lasting hope today in Jesus name. BIBLE READING PLAN: Exd23:1-33; Job2:1-13; Ezk1:1-28
